There is a strong sense of pride that people have towards a certain university. This college could be where they currently go, where they graduated from or the school closest to where they live. To emulate this pride, many people of different schools like to purchase merchandise that shows their school allegiance.

Having pride in a certain school is something that has been around as long as colleges have existed. Fans of these schools are not necessarily students at these schools to be huge supporters of them. Just residing in the area or the state where that school is enough reason for many fans. For example, many people living in the state of Ohio are huge Buckeye fans whether or not they attended The Ohio State University. Other fans are obviously the students that attend a particular school. It is quite challenging to be accepted to most universities or colleges today, so the pride students feel towards their school is very strong. The last segment of the population that are strong fans of a school are the alumni of that college. They continue their school pride throughout their life.

How do these various segments of people support their schools and show their school pride? Most fans buy college merchandise from the school store or a variety of different internet websites. The items available that show the school logo is huge and the big fans go wild buying as much as they can with the school logo on it. Fans love to buy clothing in the school colors and with the logo as well as any accessories you can think of. Umbrellas, stuffed animals, flags, stationary, toys, games, and blankets are just some of the things that fans buy.

The fastest growing type of college merchandise that is being purchased by people who have pride in their school are home decorative items. Many online stores are now selling higher quality furniture and items for the home that showcase the team colors or logo in an understated and beautiful way. Wooden chairs and other nice furniture in addition to artwork and lamps all fall into this category.

Lamps are one of the most popular items that are presently being sold. There are a variety of college lamps that people can buy. They sell lower cost ones that are perfect for current students living in a dorm setting as well as more costly ones that look wonderful in a high end office in a multi-million dollar home. For dorm use, students really like the flip or clip style lamps with their school logo or mascot on them. They are priced reasonably, space saving and produce a low glare for when their roommate may be trying torest. Floor lamps in a 70’s style are also big hits with students. They can be moved and pointed to whatever direction you want the light to shine. And finally, a beautiful Tiffany style lamp with the school logo looks fabulous in your home for years to come.

Most folks are fans of a school whether they attended the school or not. To show off this pride the fans buy college merchandise to show off that school pride to feel more connected to that particular school. Online websites have made this easier than ever for people to support their school pride.
